Biography

Seiya Tsutsumi is an undefeated WBA bantamweight world champion known for relentless pressure, high punch volume and exceptional durability. He turned pro in 2018.

His record of 13-0-3 is unusual: he has never lost, but carries three career draws — including two against the hard-hitting Daigo Higa. He captured the WBA bantamweight title by outpointing Takuma Inoue over 12 rounds in October 2024, then drew with Higa in a controversial February 2025 defense before defeating future Hall-of-Famer Nonito Donaire by split decision in December 2025.

His grinding, come-forward style has made him a fan favorite and a difficult night for anyone in the division.

As of June 2026 he is the WBA bantamweight champion, with his next bout not yet confirmed.
