Biography
Kenshiro Teraji, nicknamed "The Amazing Boy," is one of the finest small-weight fighters of his era. A pro since 2014, he is a high-volume boxer-puncher with elite conditioning and a flair for dramatic, come-from-behind finishes.
He dominated the light flyweight division, reigning as WBC champion across two spells and unifying with the WBA by defeating fellow Japanese star Hiroto Kyoguchi in November 2022. He defended against the likes of Hekkie Budler (September 2023) and Carlos Cañizales (January 2024). His lone early setback — a 2021 TKO loss to Masamichi Yabuki — was emphatically avenged by knockout in their 2022 rematch.
Moving up to flyweight, he won a WBC title in 2024 and unified by stopping Seigo Yuri Akui in March 2025 to become a two-division world champion. In July 2025, however, he lost his unified flyweight belts to Ricardo Sandoval by a hotly debated split decision.
As of June 2026 his record stands at 25-2 (16 KOs), and a Sandoval rematch has been discussed but not confirmed.
